I am a 61 year old, father of two boys and have been happily married for 33 years. I have been a Physical Education teacher and coach for 38 years and have loved EVERY minute of it. I enjoy making people laugh and feel good about themselves. It’s fun collecting inspiring and heartwarming stories.from people. So, if you have a good story…let me know! I hope you enjoy my page!! :)
Remember:
Everyone is fighting a battle that you know nothing about.
Be kind.
Always.
I thought that it would be a good idea to take the time and tell everyone a story that will, hopefully, allow you to smile, feel good about yourself, and forget the stresses and worries of your world…even if it just for a short time. So, with out any further delay, here is today’s story…
Once upon a time, there was a very handsome male camel that had two huge camel humps.
He fell in love and married a very beautiful female camel who had one perfect camel hump.
As time progressed, they became the proud parents of a wonderful baby camel who had no humps.
They contemplated for a very, very long time on what name to give to their beautiful little boy. Well, after a while, they finally decided on a name…
Are you ready for this?
They named him…
HUMPREY!!!
OK…stop your whining! This story is a lot better than some of the other garbage that you read about!
Check out these cute, little felines that decided to make this flower pot their own little oasis for a nap. Do you think that they could have squeezed in another kitty?
I just saw this video that has been making the rounds that I thought was fascinating. A cat came to a boy’s rescue after the child was attacked by a dog in California. The video shows the boy playing on his bicycle when the dog attacks, but the brave feline bolts into action!
One morning a husband returned after several hours of fishing and decided to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, his wife decided to take the boat out and go for a ride. She motored out a short distance, anchored, and began to read her book.
A short time later, along comes a game warden in his boat. He pulled up alongside the woman and said, “Good morning Ma’am. What are you doing?”
“Reading a book,” she replied, (thinking, “Isn’t that obvious?”)
“You’re in a restricted fishing area,” he informed her.
“I’m sorry officer, but I’m not fishing, I’m reading.”
“Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I’ll have to take you in and write you up.”
“If you do that, I’ll have to charge you with sexual assault,” said the woman.
“But I haven’t even touched you,” said the game warden.
“That’s true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment.”
“Have a nice day ma’am,” he said and he left.
MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It’s likely she can also think.
Every once in a while, you read a story that simply touches your heart in a special way. Today’s short story is an example of an experience of an athlete that will warm your heart.
—————–
At a Special Olympics track meet, a young girl had just won the 50-yard dash and was jumping up and down all excited.
She yelled out to her parents, “Look Mom and Dad, I won! I won!”
Her parents instantly burst into tears.
At the awards ceremony, the young girl proudly stood there as a medal was placed around her neck.
Then she ran over to her parents, who were crying now even more than they were before. The three of them hugged and hugged as the parents continued to cry.
A Special Olympics official who had watched the whole scene became concerned and went over to the parents and said, “excuse me, is there anything wrong?”
Through her tears, the mother said, “no, nothing is wrong. Everything is OK…in fact it is wonderful…we just heard our daughter speak for the first time.”
This is another one of the pictures that I took while I was with my 8th grade class on their annual trip to Washington DC. Yes, this is the White House. I made some changes, etc. which helped to enhance the picture.
There is a HUGE debate throughout our land about the 2nd Amendment, the right to bear arms, and the danger of guns. Whenever there is a shooting in a mall, movie theater, school, or somewhere else, the first thing many anti-gun people say is…”get rid of guns”, “guns kill people”, on and on.
Anyway, I know the purpose of my site is to present heartwarming and motivational stories, etc., but this little story about gun control, in my opinion, is a humorous little note that Mr. Donald K. Martin crafted for a local newspaper. In my humble opinion, the main idea of this story is SO true!
——————-
Yesterday, I placed my shotgun on the front porch, gave it six shells, and noticing it had no legs, placed it in a wheelchair to help it get around.
While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mailman delivered my mail, the boy across the street cleaned up my yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped by the STOP sign near my house.
After 10 hours, I checked on the shotgun. It had not rolled outside and it had not killed anyone in spite of many opportunities that had been presented.
Can you imagine how surprised I was, with all the hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people? Either the killing is by people misusing guns or I’m in possession of the laziest gun in the world.
So, now I am off to check my spoons, because I hear that they make people fat.
Throughout everyone’s lifetime, there are instances where some people will take advantage of other people’s kindness…sometimes in a negative way. The following story is an example of this kind of behavior…even though it is done in a comical way!
A young man was walking through a supermarket to pick up a few things when he noticed an old lady following him around the store. Thinking nothing of it, he ignored her and continued on with his shopping. Finally, he went to the checkout line, but she got in front him.
“Pardon me,” she said, “I’m sorry if my staring at you has made you feel uncomfortable. It’s just that you remind me of my son who just died recently.”
“I am very sorry,” replied the young man, “is there anything that I can do for you?”
“Yes” she said, “as I am leaving, can you just say ‘Good bye Mother!’? It would make me feel much better.”
“Sure,” answered the young man.
As the old woman was leaving, he called out, “Good bye, Mother!”
As he stepped up to the checkout counter, he saw that his total was $127.50.
“How can that be?” he asked, “I only purchased a few things!””Your mother said that you would pay for her,” said the clerk.
I decided, for Mother’s Day this year, that I would share some interesting and fascinating information with you. I found the following facts on a great site: “Mother’s Day Celebration”. I found that a lot of the things that I read, I never knew before. They were not only enjoyable to read but also very pleasant to learn. I hope that you find the following stories and records as much fun as I did!

Elvis Presley, was a mama’s boy. He slept in the same bed with his mother, Gladys, until he reached puberty. Up until Elvis entered high school, she walked him back and forth to school every day and made him take along his own silverware so that he wouldn’t catch germs from the other kids. Gladys forbade young Elvis from going swimming or doing anything that might put him in danger. The two of them also conversed in a strange baby talk that only they could understand.

Water Freely with Patience and Cultivate with Love. If you want your “Garden” to be full of “food”, you must remember that the more you sow, the more you will reap.
A man came home from work and found his 3 children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn around garden, The door of his wife’s car was open, as was the front door to the house and no sign of the dog, walking in the door, he found …an even bigger mess.
A lamp had been knocked over, the throw rug was against one wall, In the front room, the TV was playing loudly with the cartoon channel, the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.
In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.
As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled and asked how his day went.
He looked at her bewildered and asked, ‘What happened here today?’ She again smiled and answered, ‘you know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world do I do all day?
”Yes,” was his incredulous reply.
She answered, ‘Well, today I didn’t do it.’
What a novel approach!
Husbands and Father’s…love your wife and your kids mom!
